Lauren Broxton
Brief:
Lauren Broxton is a fashion designer based in Birmingham, UK. She needed help making her brand to be distinctive, and a logo that could be incorporated into her designs (one consideration was that the mark had to be able to be branded onto designs). Her signature designs feature recycled saddle leather and a distinctive white stitching method, with asymmetrical patches and patterns combining to create bold and distinctive silhouettes. She also makes use of horse stirrups, chains and loud, bold make up.
Process:
I worked closely with Lauren to understand her process and how best to create a brand that could seamlessly integrate into her fashion brand.

Outcome:
Taking inspiration from her garments, I created a monogram logotype and illustrated devices for use across Lauren's garments, bags and site. The monogram has equestrian-like features (the stirrup-like flourishes at the top and bottom) and shows an L and a B combined into one seamless mark. It was important to Lauren incorporate themes of both femininity and masculinity, something that represented herself and her work wholeheartedly.
