Mainstay

Brief:
 

Mainstay were in need of a new identity, which was where I and several others came in to create a brand that reflected their industry expertise, and their ability to find the right fit, for the right role. Mainstay Recruitment connects ambitious businesses with top-quality candidates, delivering outstanding multi-industry, permanent and temporary recruitment services. With a focus on truly aligning the right people with the perfect opportunities, to allow them to flourish. Unlike other recruitment organisations, they pride themselves on their industry expertise, knowledge and specialist recruitment tools.

Process:
 

Working with another mid-weight designer at Notepad Studio, I created two main concepts that were then developed further. These two routes were presented and then the final route was developed further and later refined before being applied to all relevant touch points (Web design, social assets, banners etc). 

Initial concepts:

 

Initial exploration focused on literally connecting dots (or an employer to a candidate), on speed and direct paths from one specific employer to the right candidate. Whilst these were great, colourful and really stood out from the competition, they didn't really hit home Finding the right fit or missing piece. This then lead us to explore the sheer amount of candidate and clients that Mainstay help on a daily basis, with a focus on the quality of the experience across 5 major sectors

Outcome:

 

Utilizing a pattern of different Ms, we created a brand that reflected Mainstays many different candidates and job positions, focusing on the line “Finding your perfect fit”. The repeating M motif is used across all brand touch points and helps celebrate diversity and a wide approach to solving recruitment issues.
